Students participating in work-based learning experiences are representatives for the school system and should always behave in a positive and professional manner.
Make yourself aware of the expectations of behavior before participating in these experiences.
Students have the opportunity to complete a 40-hour externship with LCPS. The choices include IT, CHS library, cafeteria and several workstations in our elementary schools.

What is Mentorship? Consists of a long-term relationship focused on supporting the grown and development of students as they learn about a particular industry and workplace.
for 11th and 12th Graders
The Town of Kenbridge is offering WBL opportunities to all students at Central High School. Applicants must have a driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Office - Town Manager and Treasurer -
Learn office skills such as filing, answering the telephone, processing water bills and tax payments.
Experience event planning for several town events - Fall Harvest Festival, July Jubilee, and collaboration with the town of Victoria for the Autumn Days festival.
Special Projects
Maintenance -
Landscaping-cutting grass, leaf, brush, planting trees and flowers, and snow removal.
Performing routine inspections and maintenance of town equipment and vehicles.
Painting - inside the recreation center.

SERVICE LEARNING PROJECTS WITH THE TOWN OF KENBRIDGE
The Town of Kenbridge is offering opportunities to all students at Central High School to help develop and enhance their work skills, develop employer connections and provide solutions to real problems in the community.
The goal of service learning is for these experiences to enable students to learn and apply academic, social, and personal skills to improve our community, continue individual growth and develop a lifelong ethic of service.
Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Dog Park Project
Students will help troubleshoot and develop a dog park for the town park.
