Sketch 1: This sketch displays a mask that looks and fits like a typical medical mask, but is a bit thicker due to the added layering on the inside. This will prevent acne as well as the spread of COVID-19.

OPERATION
When the user wears this, the inner layer made of silk will sit against the sides of their face and will not cause near as much acne since it’s a much smoother material. The main mask will be made of cotton. Additionally, bacteria from the use will be stopped by the multiple layers and will not spread.
JUSTIFICATION
JUSTIFICATION
This mask fits each constraint and allows the wearer to not get more acne with the added layers. It is a reasonable size, is washable/reusable, and prevents COVID-19 from spreading.

We decided to use Adobe Illustrator to create a sewing pattern for our mask instead of CAD models, in order to make it more realistic to our specific project. Since dimensions are not included, we added side notes to clarify the size and what each part of the mask is. The model is drawn to scale.
