Marie Curie

Saying science was the most important thing to me is an understatement. I created radium (atomic number 88), and worked on this new element day and night for about nine years. Radium was amazing it was radioactive and could help cure cancer.

My husband Pierre and I won the Nobel Prize in physics, but we were too sick to pick up their prize. I had lost fifteen pounds, My fingertips were turning black, and My face had become so pale it looked like it had been dusted with flour. Just think about it one day your fingers just start turning black one day, it isn’t a normal thought. I worked in radioactivity 101 at the Sorbonne as the first woman professor. I won my second Nobel Prize this time for chemistry, I’m on a roll here!

Something was off with this radioactive substance though , One of the students had his whole arm amputated, And fifteen women that were painting the Radium on the clock dials died!

My red blood cells were starting to run out, so I was getting little oxygen to my muscles and brain. But I ignored the obvious signs and went back to the lab and continued to work as usual.

One day while working in the lab I spiked a fever that was impossible to ignore. My whole body started to stall out.

It turns out that her blood marrow had shut down. She was running out of blood. Marie Curie died on July 4, 1934 at the age of sixty-six years old from aplastic anemia that was caused by continuous exposure to radiation.

King Tut

King Tut went to egypt to become king at the young age of only nine years old. Nobody really knew how he died until an expert came in and the X-rays showed that he was murdered.

Later is was concluded that shown by a CT scan that King Tut died of a leg that got infected.

Even later in 2009 scientists discovered that he had Koehler disease, which diminished the blood supply to the bone in his left foot, but that isn't the main thing that killed him. He also had Malaria(a disease you get from being bitten by an infected mosquito).

All these factors were a recipe for a dead king. The sad thing is he was only 19 years old when he died in 1323bc.
