Hello, Hollymead Families,
There is so much to celebrate as we conclude another school year at Hollymead. Our growing school community has come together, shared the journey of the school year, become closer, stronger and more vibrant than ever. From family nights to Field Day, there have been so many opportunities for us to connect, partner and celebrate our school. It has been inspiring to see.
The effort of the Hollymead staff cannot be understated. This year, they did what they always do for children. They put your children first and foremost in their work and leaned into each child's specific needs and found opportunities for success each and every day. This community of professionals are simply amazing!
Listed below are a number of important end-of-year reminders, so please review them carefully. Friday is a half day with dismissal starting at 11:20.
The Hollymead administrative team wishes all of you the very best for a wonderful summer!

Information on Testing Reports
On Friday in your child's backpack you can expect to find their year end VALLSS (Grades K-3) and SOL results (Grades 3-5). This folder is addressed to and intended for parents and guardians. For third grade families, only some students will have additional spring VALLSS data. Moving forward, this data will help teachers and other school staff identify areas needing additional support and prepare students for the 2025-2026 school year’s content.
We use these assessments in conjunction with other data sources such as module assessments in literacy and unit assessments in math in order to guide our instruction. Families can also use this information to better understand the topics their child will be ready to learn and which topics may present more of a challenge for their child.
As always, reach out with any questions or concerns. We are excited to continue partnering with you!
