Shannon Logan ,BSN, RN - referred to by students as "Nurse Shannon". She obtained her BSN In Nursing from UMASS BOSTON. She began working as a nurse on a head trauma unit where she worked as an aide during college and then transitioned into community health. Ms. Logan worked for 17 years in home care/community health. While working in community health, she wore many different hats. She worked as a case manager, community liaison and most importantly as a patient advocate. She also provided coverage for the health dept nurse and as staff educator. She was a staff educator while working at Partners and a mentor for new grad interns. She has worked as a school nurse for the City of Somerville for 10 years. She is currently the nurse at Winter Hill Community Innovation school and really enjoys her work. She is very talented working with children and students with special needs. She has a way about her that makes students feel at ease. On a personal note, Shannon enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her daughters. She has 2 daughters, her youngest is 10 years old. Her family loves animals and has a dog, cat, fish, and a gecko! She also enjoys gardening, taking nature walks with her family, watching movies, reading, cooking and baking. Fun fact: every summer her family orders caterpillars and watch them metamorphose into….? guess? ! Then they release them! She also does lady bugs because they are so good for her garden!
