This section includes scholarships that are local to our area, but not to our school. This means that some scholarships may include other schools. Not all of the scholarships will be this way, but some will. Some scholarships are available online, but for others you will need to visit Mr. Swier's office for information.
This scholarship is designed for students who desire to work in the health field in one of the following roles:
Registered Nurse (RN)
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Certified Laboratory Technicians
Registered Radiology Technologist
Registered Health Information Technician
Registered Health Information Administrator
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Physician
Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant
Other health related careers
Due by: April 1st each year
Must plan to attend a South Dakota College, University, or Technical College.
Scholarship money is to be paid back if the student does not complete the school year, immediately or interest will be applied.

This scholarship is geared toward students who have been Aurora County 4-H members for a minimum of 3 years. There are two different achievement scholarships that available when submitting this application, the Cheryl Moore Scholarship and the Joyce Ehlers Scholarship, both worth $250. Only one application needs to be submitted.

This scholarship is directed toward students who's parents receive electric service from Central Electric Cooperative at their primary residence. There is only one $2500 scholarship available to all students in the Central Electric Cooperative service area. In our school, students who live in Aurora county are those that are eligible.
Students who do not receive this scholarship are entered for a chance to earn a $500 district level scholarship. The same application is used for each of these.

This scholarship is designed for students who's parents are members of Douglas Electric and plan to attend a college, university, or vocational/technical school full time.

This scholarship is designed for students pursuing a career in the health field. Students from Parkston, Ethan, Tripp, Lake Andes, or Corsica/Stickney schools districts can apply.

This scholarship is directed toward applicants who are pursuing a degree in business at any South Dakota university or technical college. Applicants must be from participating towns of Scavengers Journey (Stickney is, Corsica is not).

This scholarship honors the life of Scott Lippincott who lost his life to cancer. This scholarship is for high school graduates in our area who plan to attend a two or four year program at a college or technical college.
