Black Hills State University

This scholarship is based on the students' GPA and ACT/SAT scores. Students must have applied for admission to BHSU prior to February 1st to be considered. No other application is necessary. 

BHSU offers various scholarships, which are made possible by generous donors of the school. To apply for these, students will need to submit one application to be considered for all of the scholarships they are eligible for. 

This scholarship is for South Dakota high school seniors who demonstrate financial need via their FAFSA and have at least a 3.0 GPA. This is a is a one year scholarship of $2,500.
Students must also be accepted for admission to BHSU and be attending at Spearfish main campus full time.

This scholarship is due by March 15th, but earlier submision is recommended. 

This scholarship is directed toward students who are interested in planning and implementing a sustainable community project that would impact the lives of others. 

To earn a Music scholarship, students must audition live or record two contrasting pieces and send them to the BHSU music department. The deadline is in February. Preferance is given to Music Majors and Minors. 

S-STEM applicants must be pursuing a major in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Physical Science, or Mathematics and demonstrate financial need. Students must maintain good academic standing to continue receiving the scholarship.
