South Dakota State University offers a First-Time Freshman Scholarship program that includes a variety of scholarship options (listed below). This program is called the Jackrabbit Guarantee Program. Students complete one scholarship application, which applies to all scholarships that fall under the Jackrabbit Guarantee Program. Applications will be applied to all scholarships the student is eligible for automatically. Selections are made based on students' GPA and Composite ACT scores. 

To apply for this scholarship, you will do this after acceptance into the university using your MyState portal. The link to the portal is available at the link below. You will then go to the Scholarship Application section to access the 2026-2027 incoming first time and transfer student scholarship application.
