GPA & Rank Information

In accordance with Leander ISD policy, class rank will only be reported for the top ten percent of each class. Students in the top ten percent will have their rank listed in Home Access Center. Students outside the top ten percent do not have a rank, and this box will be empty in Home Access Center.  If a rank is not listed in the Home Access Center, students will need to reference the quartile breakdown below to determine their quartile.

The calculation of the weighted and unweighted GPA can be found in the HAC.  is outlined in Board Policy EIC (Local) 

Top 10% and Quartile GPA Cutoffs for the Class of 2028 (as of June 2026)

Class Size: 529

Top 10%:  5.0 & higher

Quartile 1:  4.481 & higher

Quartile 2:  4.48 - 3.772

Quartile 3:  3.767 - 2.856

Quartile 4:  2.81 - 0

What should I be focusing on in 11th grade?

1. Complete the interest and career inventories in Naviance (located in Launchpad) to explore possible careers after high school.

2. In the fall semester, meet with your counselor during one on one conferences to review your credits and graduation plan. Junior Conference Form 

3. Complete course request for 12th grade. Watch for due dates from your counselor.

4. Take the school day SAT in March. Make a plan for additional SAT and/or ACT if needed. 

5. Begin researching post-secondary education opportunities in Naviance and Big Future. Check out the Texas Assured Admissions Criteria.

6. Attend college visit days. Check out how you can get 2 excused absences for college visits.

7. Review helpful resources from our College & Career Transition Coordinator and College Coach.

What should I be focusing on in 10th grade?

1. Review your 4 year plan in Naviance (located in Leander Launchpad). Complete the interest and career inventories to explore possible careers after high school.

2. Begin researching post-secondary education opportunities in Naviance and Big Future.

3. Check out previously recorded webinars for helpful information.

4. Take the PSAT in October. Utilize Kahn Academy.

5. In the fall semester, meet with your counselor to review your graduation plan and credits. 

6. Review helpful resources from our College & Career Transition Coordinator and College Coach.

7. Complete course request for 11th grade. Watch for due dates from your counselor.
