Sexual Violence Prevention Education
Your child’s health and safety are very important to us. To ensure we are keeping our students safe, Hawai’i Department of Education is mandating schools to deliver sexual violence prevention education throughout this school year. Teaching students knowledge and skills that support bodily autonomy contributes to healthy relationships, reduces young people’s vulnerability to sexual violence, and connects students to help and resources if sexual violence happens to them.
We will be using Second Step Child Protection Unit as our curriculum in teaching our students regarding health and safety.
