Students who meet one of the following guidelines may qualify for an application fee waiver:
Students are eligible to use the form if:
They have received or are eligible to receive an ACT or SAT testing fee waiver.
They are enrolled in or eligible to participate in the Federal Free or Reduced Price Lunch program (FRPL). Click here if you would like to apply for Free/Reduced lunch
Their family's annual income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service.
They are enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that aids student from low-income families (e.g., TRIO programs, such as Upward Bound).
Their family receives public assistance.
They live in federally subsidized public housing, a foster home, or are homeless.
They are a ward of the state or an orphan.
If you qualify for a waiver, here are the steps on how to apply your waiver:
Complete your college application FIRST before sending in your waiver. Once you get to the payment page in your application, STOP or if indicated, follow the directions on how to submit your waiver form.
Email the completed waiver form to EACH school you are applying to. Be sure to fill out the top portion of the form, sign it, AND make sure your form is signed by Mr. Okoji. To find the correct email address to send your waiver form to, you will need to go to the college's website, click on admissions, and find the correct email address for admissions.
Confirm with the admissions office that your application is complete and they received your waiver.
Most colleges will accept the NACAC Fee Waiver form. However, a handful of schools either DO NOT ACCEPT IT or may have their own waiver form for you to complete. If a school has their own form, download it, complete it and send it to Mr. Okoji to verify and sign.
Last of all, you can also qualify for free SAT/ACT exams if you meet the above criteria. Once you create an ACT/SAT account you will also be given application fee waivers for you to use during your senior year.

Some colleges have free application fee waivers for Kapolei High School students! Check out the list below. Some students and families may qualiy for an application fee waiver.
