Hawaii Online Courses (HOC) provides standards-based, supplemental online classes for secondary students enrolled in a Hawaii State Department of Education public school.

These courses give students the flexibility to take classes that may not be available at their home school, helping them stay on track for college, career, and citizenship. Whether a student needs an extra credit, wants to explore a specific subject, or needs flexibility in scheduling, HOC is here to help.

HOC is a program of the Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE), originally established in 1996 through a United States Department of Education Technology Innovation Challenge Grant. We are dedicated to supporting the HIDOE’s commitment to ensuring all students are on a path to success.
