Did Covid Have a Positive or Negative Effect on the Environment?

You wake each morning everyday during lock down and think to yourself was covid ever good for anything I mean look were stuck in our house! But I think that covid was pretty good for the environment. The reasons I think that covid was good for the environment was because there were less greenhouse gasses , the water got cleaner, and there was less seismic noise. So I think Covid was good for the environment.

First, There was less greenhouse gasses because people did not drive their cars as much and the cars let out CO2 which is bad for the environment. Then, there was less air pollution because the factories were not running as much. People did fly on airplanes so that was another factor because airplanes emit lots of CO2. In China, since there was cleaner air, 10,000 or more lives were saved. During lockdown there was a 10% reduction in greenhouse gasses. Also since the lockdown there were no airplanes that were flying and then people were not able to burn as much as things. Then since the air quality got better it saved 4.2 million people because the bad air had killed 4.2 million people.

Next, The water in the world got cleaner because everyone was in lockdown. Like the water in Venice, it got cleaner because the boats were not driven as much and there was less pollution since all of us were in lockdown and the tourists did not come there was less pollution. Then, there was clean water and all the marine animals and ducks were coming out. Like in Hawaii the fish were by the shore more when there were no tourists. Also, there were less big cargo ships traveling through the ocean so there was less gas in the water and then in the water when the ships got turned over it polluted right. So less people went out to sea with less pollution.

Then, There was less seismic noise because there were no concerts and large gatherings so because of that there were fewer earthquakes because of the reduced seismic noise. There was less volcanic activity and the scientologist has calculated that the seismic noise has gone down by 50%. Since the lockdown happened, there have been less natural disasters like when was the last time during lockdown you had heard of an earthquake, a tsunami, or a natural disaster so since there was less of everything or just gone.

Finally, We’re here at the end, so what do you guys think was covid good or bad for the environment? The reasons that I think that covid was good for the environment was because there were less greenhouse gasses, the water got cleaner, and there was less seismic noise. So now that I’ve spoken on my side, I want to know what side you’re on now. I hope that I’ve convinced you enough to the point where you think that covid was good for the environment.
