Aloha Parents, Guardians, and Students!
My name is Chelsea Esaki. I was born in Stuart, Florida and raised in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I moved to Florida to attend college at the University of Florida. I've lived in Washington DC, Mexico, San Francisco, and Oakland. In 2016, my fiancé (now husband) and I moved to Oahu so that I could attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa to earn a Master of Education in Teaching. On Oahu, I earned my teaching licensure and became a teacher at Waipahu High School, where I taught for 5 years.
My husband and I met in San Francisco. He was born and raised on Kauai. Because he grew up in Kapaa, our school was his alma mater. He told me that he always wanted to move back. After 10 years together, he and I finally did it - we moved to Kapaa!
When I am not in school I enjoy walking, hiking, going to the beach, watching movies and tv shows, and spending time with family and friends. My husband and I have a cat named Honeysuckle who takes up a lot of our time!
This year, I became a 9th grade Hui Ikaika teacher. I have the fantastic opportunity to work with these great Hui teachers for what I hope will be many years to come. We are all dedicated to serving you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Chelsea Esaki
