This active course is designed to improve physical fitness, athletic performance, and overall well-being for students of all skill levels. We will focus on the fundamental components of sports training, helping students become stronger, faster, and more coordinated by learning the "why" and "how" behind effective training, including proper technique for safety. Key learning objectives include understanding basic exercise science, demonstrating proper form for foundational resistance exercises (e.g., dumbbells, exercise machines), improving speed and agility through various drills (e.g., ladder drills, shuttle runs), enhancing cardiovascular endurance, and developing muscular power through plyometrics. Class activities include resistance training, agility drills, flexibility work, and goal tracking, with an emphasis on effort, positive attitude, teamwork, and lifelong health.
