Welcome to Body Conditioning at Aliamanu Middle School! Our goal is to help you become bigger, faster, stronger, and get into the best shape of your life. This class introduces students to safe and effective weight training techniques tailored for middle school students. Students will learn about gym etiquette and how to properly utilize a weight room or fitness center. You will also learn basic human anatomy, muscle development, and various exercises that target different muscle groups. Each student will assess baseline fitness levels through tests like the 40-yard dash, bench press, squats, and more. Students will then set individual goals and track their progress throughout the semester. Activities include sprints, distance running, plyometrics, agility drills, weight training and recreational sports. This class focuses on building a culture of individuals who believe that through consistency and hard work, anyone can achieve their fitness goals. Both beginner and experienced students will gain knowledge and skills for lifelong health and fitness. Join our class and reach your full potential!
