Assignment:  The main purpose of this assignment was to research one of the many various fields pertaining to engineering, and exhibit it in a particular way. In this scenario, we were required to create an electronic poster on our chosen field of Engineering. While including information about what an Engineer might do on a typical day, what is the typical starting salary for that field, what education is needed to find a job, and why might you be interested in pursuing a career in that Engineering field.

What I Learned: From the overall experience of this project, I gained much more knowledge about Mechanical Engineering in general, educating me on the different roles that Mechanical Engineers take on, and what it inherently means to be this type of engineer. Additionally, I was able to get exposed to other aspects revolving around Mechanical Engineers, such as their typical work schedule and work life, from a general standpoint. Specifically, I was really surprised that Mechanical Engineering was such a broad field since it can be applicable to many other engineering fields, such as Automotive or even Aerospace Engineering. Similarly, something else that caught me off guard was definitely the work setting for Mechanical engineers, as I expected them to primarily work in factories, while their duties actually lie in offices.

Improvements: For personal improvements, I definitely would've included more information regarding the different fields that are closely involved with Mechanical Engineering, such as Aerospace & Automotive. By exhibiting this information, I would've attained a much deeper understanding of the field itself. Whereas in respect to the grade I obtained in this project, I could've been more efficient with my grammar and sentence organization since I ended up performing poorly in that area.
