Lesson Learned: From this experience, I was exposed to how rocket engine testing truly works and the process required to collect data from it. For instance, I learned how to operate a rocket testing device and the protocols that must be taken when the testing commences, though it was a miniature rocket engine. The process also taught me how to identify which rocket engines exhibit the most effective and efficient results, through understanding impulse graphs (force over time graphs on the thrust of the rockets). However, the most salient aspect that I learned from this experience was that the bigger the area is in an impulse graph, the more successful the engine is in producing productive results.
Most Challenging Aspect: In the documentation and project stage of the test, the hardest part was definitely matching the correct data results with the model curve graphs of each engine, as the area or max thrust varied for each one. Other than this, there wasn't anything else that was challenging about this project since it was mostly just documentation.
What I could've done differently: As mentioned above, comprehending the fact that this assignment was mostly documentation, there's nothing major I would change. However, looking back, I wish I had taken more notes on the topic as it was truly interesting to experience and learn about.
