What is a CDP? A CDP is an action plan that helps you reach your career goals!
Who needs a CDP? All CvHS Students!
Why do I need a CDP? A CDP, or Career Development Plan, is a strategic roadmap that helps you proactively manage your career and professional growth. Instead of passively waiting for opportunities, a CDP empowers you to actively pursue a career path that aligns with your unique interests, talents, and goals.
CDPs are required by NCDPI and JCPS for all students. 10th grade students will not be promoted to 11th grade without a complete CDP per N.C. Gen. Stat. § 115C-158.10 (law).
What is my goal? To successfully complete or update your Career Development Plan or CDP each school year.
Where do I complete my CDP? Your CDP is completed via Xello. To access Xello, log in to your Classlink portal and click on the Xello icon.
How do I know what I need to complete for my CDP? A checklist is provided on your “Home” screen. Click on “Home” at the top of your browser. Activities labeled (optional) are not required for CDP completion. Required activities vary by grade level.
How do I complete my CDP? Access the CDP's Via Xello support document for more instructions including screenshots or view the training video.
