Emily McNally is a sophomore, and this is her second year at Curtis. Emily participates in the Dance team and just got back from the state competition in Lafayette. When asked what her favorite part about being at John Curtis she said the people and friendships she has made since coming here her freshman year are definitely memorable. Her favorite class this year is Biology with Mrs. Fabacher. Going into the second semester Emily is most excited for sweetheart week and all the activities like dressing up, the basketball game, and dance. Her favorite experience she has had so far at JCCS was being able to dance in the Superdome and supporting the football team the whole season which ended with a State Championship. A fun fact about Emily is that she was born with backwards hips and had four major surgeries in less than a year to fix it.
Meet senior Adrian Martin. Adrian has been at JCCS since his freshman year and played defensive line on the football team. Adrian's favorite memory at Curtis was the state pep rally and being able to get a ring his senior year. His most inspirational teacher is Coach Tommy and he loves working out during weights class. Adrian is most looking forward to the end of the year senior festivities and graduation. He plans to attend college and hopes to also play football at the college level, but he is not sure yet which university he will attend.
Brad Chaisson is a junior baseball player who has been at Curtis since he was 2 years old! Brad started on the baseball team his freshman year, sat out due to injury his sophomore year, and is currently preparing to play at second base this season. Brad’s favorite thing about being at Curtis is how much of a family environment it is. Brad is most excited about the baseball season and is hopefully wishing to go back to the state championship and get a ring. Last year the baseball team made it to state but fell short against Catholic. That is Brad’s favorite memory so far from his 13 years at Curtis. Brad’s most inspirational teacher is Mrs. Muller.
