The History Behind Valentine's Day
Valentine's day is also known as Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine. This holiday originated as a Christian feast day honoring a martyr named Valentine. Through folk traditions Valentines became a cultural and commercial celebration of romance and love in many places around the world.
Valentine's Activities
The JCCS Volleyball team sold $1 or $2 candy grams that were given out on valentine's day! This helped spread love throughout the two campuses, as well as this helped raise money for next year's volleyball team.
The JCCS Key Club hand decorated 180 Valentine's Cards that will be given out to the nearby old folks homes. They sure do know how to spread LOVE to all! Tricia Peters stated, "Getting the oppurtunity to spread love and joy to the elderly warms my heart!"
Cupid has struck at John Curtis! From school Events to even dances these couples have been Involved in many CURTIS activities. ALL these couples have been together since the beginning of the school year! Here are some of the cutest and longest lasting couples around school.
