Murrell Taylor Elementary

My name is Shaquita Lowmack, and I am proud to serve as the School Counselor at Murrell Taylor Elementary. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Henderson State University and later returned to school to earn my Master of Science in Education from Arkansas State University.

As a school counselor, one of my greatest passions is helping scholars feel seen, supported, and empowered. I believe every child deserves a safe person at school who will listen, encourage them, advocate for them, and remind them of just how capable they are. Whether I am supporting a scholar through a difficult moment, helping them build confidence and social-emotional skills, or simply celebrating their growth, building meaningful relationships is at the heart of what I do.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, traveling, reading, writing, and creating memories with the people I love.

It is a privilege to be part of my scholars’ journeys, and I hope each one leaves my office knowing they are valued, capable, and worthy of becoming everything they were created to be.
