Kristen Miles, kmiles@jnpsd.org
My name is Kristen Miles. I am one of the counselors at JMS. I graduated in 2013 with my Bachelors in Psychology from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. Before beginning my master’s program, I worked in the North Little Rock School District in various roles. I earned my Masters Degree in School Counseling in 2021 from Arkansas State University. Working as a full-time school counselor has given me the opportunity to impact the academic, career, and social/emotional development of our students, which is a privilege I am thankful for.
Away from work, I like to spend time with my friends, family, play ice hockey and hang out with my dogs. I also love music and anything related to true crime. You are most likely to find me with a Starbucks in my hand and a cozy blanket nearby. I look forward to continuing to get to work alongside parents/guardians, staff, and our counseling team to ensure our scholars are getting the support they need and deserve to become successful in life.
Tamonica Sanders
Hello Middle Schoolers!
My name is Tamonica Sanders. Before being a school counselor for 3 years in elementary, I taught for over ten years at the elementary level with five of those years with JNPSD. GO TITANS!
I have three awesome children who I adore, Sarea, Kyrie, & Alon. My Blue Heeler dog, Milo, is also a big part of my family life. I enjoy gardening and traveling with my family.
I am excited about being a JMS Counselor, and I look forward to promoting the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. It is important to me that I work closely as a team with parents/guardians, teachers, administration, and staff to ensure scholars are receiving all the support they need to guide them to be a successful person in life.
