Hello! My name is Nia Anderson, and I am one of the school counselors at Jacksonville Elementary. I am excited to be a part of the Jacksonville Elementary family and look forward to supporting our scholars throughout the school year.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University and my Master of Science in Education in School Counseling, with a concentration in Crisis and Trauma. I also have over 7 years of experience in the mental health field, working with both children and adults in behavioral health settings. I am Trauma-Informed Care Certified and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certified.
I am passionate about supporting the social, emotional, and mental well-being of our scholars while creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. I truly enjoy building relationships with my scholars, encouraging them through challenges, and watching them grow and reach their goals.
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my daughter, mom, and little brother.

Hello! My name is Abigail Norman, and I am one of Jacksonville Elementary’s school counselors. I am so excited to be a part of the JES family! I can not wait to meet all of the scholars and their families, and I look forward to a great school year!
I went to Arkansas Tech University in Russellville where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education K-6. I then attended the University of Central Arkansas where I earned my Master of Science in School Counseling K-12. I taught 5th grade for two years and 2nd grade for three years.
I have a passion for supporting the whole child - socially, emotionally, and academically. I strive to create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment. I can not wait to build relationships with my scholars and be able to help them with challenges. I know that each scholar is capable of reaching whatever goal they want to achieve in life!
When I am not in school, I love spending time with my family, traveling, volunteering at church, and hanging out with my friends.
