Located in the heart of our school lobby, The Melody of Life is an art installation that invites students, staff, and visitors to pause, reflect, and connect. Shaped like a giant musical staff, the installation features playful bug-shaped seating scattered along the lines and spaces of the staff, as if resting on a timeless melody.
This installation is more than just a piece of art; it symbolizes inspiration. The musical staff represents the rhythm and harmony of life, reminding us that, like music, life is composed of highs and lows, pauses, and crescendos. The bugs, often seen as small yet vital parts of our world, symbolize the importance of even the smallest moments and contributions to creating something beautiful.
For our students, The Melody of Life is a gentle nudge to embrace their creative spirit. It underscores the power of music and art as universal languages that bring joy, healing, and expression. It encourages them to find their unique tune and contribute their voice to the world's symphony.
This installation is also a celebration of living fully. By sitting on the bugs, students can imagine themselves as part of this grand composition, taking a moment to rest and enjoy the present, while dreaming of their future. It's a reminder that life, much like music, is meant to be experienced, cherished, and shared with others.
As the light streams into the lobby and dances across the staff, The Melody of Life reminds all who see it that every note—every action, every moment—has its place in the greater symphony of life.

Crafted from 304 stainless steel with a captivating coating, this installation stands tall at 225 cm, measuring 240 cm in width and 235 cm in length. Its graceful design evokes the image of blooming flowers, reflecting the vitality and energy that permeate our campus. The installation serves not only as a visual centerpiece for gatherings but also as a source of inspiration, reminding us of the beauty of youth and the importance of embracing life’s fleeting moments.
Managed by Jiali Junior High School in Tainan City, "In the Mood for Love" enhances our landscape square, creating a welcoming space for students to connect, celebrate, and share their experiences. This art installation is a testament to the power of creativity in enriching our educational environment, making our school a place where love, growth, and friendship flourish.
"Candied Haws" is a captivating public art installation that beautifully reflects the spirit and rich cultural heritage of Jiali Junior High School. This artwork seamlessly integrates the school's architectural landscape with innovative ceramic mosaic techniques and dynamic steel sculptures, embodying the essence of a high-quality green environment on our campus.
Inspired by the project theme "Ancient Art Cane City, Inheritance of Craftsmanship," the installation creatively employs the imagery of a music metronome, symbolizing rhythm and harmony. This central motif is intricately woven with the vibrant colors of the school's architecture, cultural symbolism, and the musical notes emblematic of our school's music club. Together, these elements showcase the diverse tapestry of music, art, ecology, and local culture that defines the Jiali Junior High School community.
The design features a dynamic representation of a musical metronome, symbolizing the passage of time, while incorporating the whimsical shape of candied haws, which reflects the cultural significance of cane sugar in our region. The base of the installation serves as functional public furniture, creating a seamless transition between the artwork, the building facade, and the lush green lawns of the campus.
The color scheme of "Candied Haws" echoes the facade design envisioned by the architect, enhancing the visual harmony of the Cane City Square area. This vibrant public art piece not only enriches the aesthetic of our school but also serves as a gathering space for teachers and students to relax, engage in artistic endeavors, and celebrate our shared cultural activities.
