You may only work from the start date of your EAD card to the end date of your EAD card.
All employment must be related to your major field of study.
You must report all employment and address changes within 10 days of any change.
You are limited to 90 days of unemployment during your OPT.
The travel signature on page 2 of your I-20 is valid only 6 months while on OPT.
While ISSO will continue to support you during this period by maintaining your SEVIS record, it is your responsibility to report the required information related to your OPT via the SEVP portal. Any student without employment within 90 days of the start of OPT will be considered in “violation of F1 status.” F-1 students participating in OPT must report accurate and timely information directly to SEVP.
Set up your SEVP portal, you will get an invitation via email on your OPT start date. If you don't receive an invitation email from SEVP, please contact isso@jessup.edu.
Start and/or end of any employment: report through SEVP Portal, then alert ISSO to get your new I-20.
Change of employer address or information: report through SEVP Portal, then alert ISSO to get your new I-20.
Change in residential address: report through SEVP Portal. You will not receive a new I-20.
Change in immigration status: Contact P/DSO regarding this.
Departed U.S. and no longer plan to use OPT: Contact P/DSO regarding this.
