Math 3 Bridge

Course Description:

This course is designed as a bridge between Course 2 and Course 3 to address content requirements needed to be successful in Course 3. The outcomes are similar to Course 2 with an emphasis on the underlying skills necessary to access Course 2 skills and practices.

Through the study of algebra, geometry and statistics this course will allow students to develop an understanding of the symbolic language of mathematics and the sciences. In addition, mathematical skills and concepts are developed and used in a wide variety of problem-solving situations.

Course Objectives: Students will have an understanding of concepts from the following areas:

Linear Equations and Functions Similarity, Right Triangle, and Trigonometry

Products and Factors of Polynomials Measuring Length and Area

Rational Expressions Solids: Surface Area and Volume

Quadratic Functions and Quadratic Formula

Course 3 Bridge is not A-G approved.
