AP Statistics

Course Description:

This AP course in statistics is designed to introduce students to the major concepts and tools for collection, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. The course focuses on four conceptual themes. (1) Describing patterns and departures from patterns (2) Sampling and experimentation including planning and concluding a study (3) Anticipating patterns, including exploring random phenomena using probability stimulation and (4) Statistical inference including estimating population parameters and testing hypotheses. Students who successfully complete the course and take the AP Exam may receive credit for one-semester introductory statistics course.
