The mission of JROTC is to motivate young people to become better citizens. JROTC isn't just about trying to get you into the service. The goal of JROTC is to make a better person of yourself as well as give you the discipline of real life while teaching life lessons at the same time. JROTC isn't just a class, but a family that will always hold open arms to whoever's willing to join.

JROTC Instructor
MAJ Arrington enlisted into the United States Army in September 1991 after receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga. While enlisted, he was a member of the All-Army Greco-Roman Wrestling team, training at the Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He earned his Air Assault Wings at Fort Rucker, AL during the Spring of 1994 and his Expert Field Medical Badge while stationed in Hawaii (Schofield Barracks) in 1997. He was selected to attend Officer’s Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia in September 2000 after retiring from competition.
As a 2nd Lieutenant, he was a platoon leader in the 54th Mortuary Affairs Company, Fort Lee, Virginia. He led his platoon to Washington, VA to recover the remains of our fallen after the September 11, 2001, Pentagon attack. In September 2003 and a 1st Lieutenant, he deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom. He was assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force Consequence Management, Camp Doha, Kuwait. His primary mission was to search for weapons of mass destruction and detect chemical weapons. As a Captain, he served as a company commander at Fort Hood, Texas before receiving order to deploy to Baghdad, Iraq to serve on a Military Transition Team (MiTT). Soon after his redeployment, he accepted a position as the Brigade S4 for the 21st Calvary Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas. Maj Arrington then accepted a position in G4 while being assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division Fort Hood, Texas. His duty stations include Fort Knox (KY), Fort Sam Houston (TX), Fort Rucker (AL), Tripler/Schofield Barracks (HI), Fort Carson (CO), Fort Lee (VA) and Fort Hood (TX). Fort Hood, Texas was his last tour of duty after serving 20 of active service and retiring in September 2011.
