FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of agricultural education. The official name of the organization is the National FFA Organization. The letters “FFA” stand for Future Farmers of America.

The Jefferson County FFA Chapter is excited to announce our annual Poinsettia Fundraiser! Beautiful, Florida grown poinsettias will be available for purchase just in time for the holiday season. The proceeds from this fundraiser will directly support our chapter activities, including helping fund our Fall Leadership Retreat—where FFA members develop teamwork and leadership skills—and our Spring Awards Banquet, where we celebrate student achievements and recognize outstanding members. By purchasing a poinsettia, you’re not only adding festive cheer to your home but also investing in the growth and success of Jefferson County FFA students.

Stefanie Prevatt is the agriculture program leader and FFA Advisor at Jefferson County K-12. Prevatt has been with Jefferson County schools for six years, transitioning from a nine-year career in 4-H with the University of Florida and The Ohio State University. Stefanie Prevatt is a 2006 graduate of Kent State University and a 2009 graduate of the University of Florida, where she received her M.S. In Family, Youth, in Community Sciences. She has hopes and dreams of completing her Ph.D, but as for right now, they are just dreams. Stefanie lives in Monticello with her husband, Wayne, and two children, Zaxyn and Reba Pearl.
