I am a STUDENT at Olmsted Academy North
This is my school, and we are FAMILY
I am committed to being RESPECTFUL- RESPONSIBLE- & SAFE
I WILL make today the very best day of all
Because WE are COLT NATION
The Olmsted Academy North Family is dedicated to building a culture committed to identifying and eliminating any form of racial injustice and inequitable treatment of people of color. We embrace our professional and civil responsibility to fully occupy the ongoing process of engaging in new learning, reflecting with an introspective approach, and working together to make informed and concerted efforts to deconstruct elements of systemic racism in our school culture.
We acknowledge that our school community is made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds with different perspectives on systemic racism, racial equity, and how it impacts educational processes. Consequently, we are making actionable provisions to create a culture to have candid conversations about race and provide professional learning to evolve our collective thinking around developing impactful solutions, while continuing the improvement of building out our school-wide systems. We are confident that taking this initial course of action will help ensure that we are taking the necessary steps to create and employ measures that support anti-racist policies, equitable systems and programming, and executing daily practices that will ultimately eliminate structural and systemic racism in our professional practice.
Prioritizing the aforementioned measures to commit to racial equity will support our collective goal of creating bountiful opportunities and rich educational experiences for all students to achieve their highest potentials and success.
