Due to COVID 19, ALL students must wear a mask
JCPS Policy: Masks will be a required element for students pre-K through 12th grade who return to the In-Person Learning Option. Masks will also be required of all employees at school buildings. Masks will be required throughout the day, except when eating or drinking or if a student has a medical waiver on file at the school. A mask will be provided to students if they don’t have one when entering the school building
Shirts
All shirts must have a collar (any color or pattern)
Sweaters / FLOAN Sweatshirts / Vests
A collared shirt must be worn underneath
No full zipped jackets or hoodies
No pockets should be on student sweaters or pullovers
Pants / Shorts
Casual/semi-formal grey, black, navy, or khaki
No denim jeans, sweatpants, athletic joggers, cargo
Belts optional, but no sagging
Shoes
Any closed toe and closed heel shoe may be worn
Jewelry / Accessories
No hats, bandanas, do-rags, sunglasses, gloves
Two Dollar Dress-Down Days
On specially announced Dress-Down Days, students may wear any school appropriate tee shirt, appropriate jeans or athletic shorts for $2.00. Appropriate shoes still apply.
Non-Compliance to our Dress-Down Policy
Students that do not pay two dollars or are not in proper dress-down attire will receive the following consequences:
Daily Dress Code Procedures
1) During the beginning of each period your teacher will examine the class for dress code issues. Your teacher will discuss the issue with you and attempt to correct the problem. Students will respond in a respectful manner to teachers requests.
Can you fix your dress code problem? If the answer is no you will be asked to call home to get the correct school attire.
2) Dress Code violation will be added to your infinite campus file.
3) After three entries, the grade level AP or counselor will be contacted by the teacher.
What happens if I get 3 dress code violations?
Students receiving 3 or more dress code violations will lose the right to dressdown (permission to dressdown will be reinstated per the AP’s discretion).
NOTE!
Repeated Requests
Students that are repeatedly asked to fix their dress code are able to will receive the same consequence as those that are out of dress code.
