Message From Your Principal

As the new principal of Olmsted Academy North, I am excited to ensure that our young men receive the tools needed to successfully transition to high school and lead rich and thriving lives. I recognize the importance of meeting the educational needs of students, and I strive to recognize and honor the unique potential for excellence in each individual. Through our STEAM Program, students are exposed to real-life experiences to increase engagement and understanding. We use STEAM as an embedded educational approach to learning, using science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The STEAM Program puts education into the hands of our young men and allows them to find new ways of learning. This year, My North Star is to ensure that our young men value their education and receive the tools needed to be responsible, respectful, and safe in all that they do and say. I understand that I cannot do this work alone, so I plan to partner with all stakeholders to ensure that each and every student finds his #TrueNorth through his own unique direction and purpose.
