Hello! I am beginning my 26th year as a Speech Pathologist. After graduating from the University of North Texas, I spent 4 years working in a Dallas area school district. I’ve spent the last 21 years in JCPS. I am married to a retired educator who just published his first novel! Our son, Dax, is a junior and is on the bass fishing and wrestling teams. We have a ginger cat named Hobbes (11) and two miniature schnauzers, Cricket (3) and Birdie (1.5 years). They all keep us on our toes! I enjoy reading (a lot), listening to podcasts, refinishing furniture, and cooking.

Hello! This is my 15th year as a speech therapist with JCPS, my 4th year at Middletown, and 3rd year at Norton Commons. I love working with students and their families to help improve their communication skills. I graduated from St. Louis University for both undergraduate and graduate school. I am married to my husband, Jeff and have four children, Alex (11), Andy (9), Alli (7) and Amber (5). I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching my kids play sports, U of L, and playing tennis.

Tom Powell, Speech Therapist, has seven years of experience with JCPS and is excited to be joining the Speech Team at Norton Commons Elementary School. Prior to joining JCPS, Tom worked as a linguist and musician for the US Army. Tom loves working with and helping kids and in his spare time enjoys hiking and playing tuba in a local German and Dixieland Band.
