In accordance with Kentucky state guidelines, students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade may be identified as high-potential learners. These students typically demonstrate characteristics and behaviors associated with giftedness and often fall within the top 25% of their peer group.
Eligible students may be placed in the Primary Talent Pool (PTP) during their primary years (K–3). Once identified and placed in the PTP, students remain in the program through the end of 3rd grade.
If you believe your child may benefit from participation in the Primary Talent Pool, please contact your child’s school for more information about the identification process and next steps.
