While we have come a long way, we are still living in some uncertain times as things seems to be constantly evolving in the health and security realm. Health and safety is still our number one concern, and JCDA and Cardinal O'Hara High School are committed to providing a safe experience for all of our families coming to the showcase. We have and will continue to remain within the NYS guidelines for this production, and will do our best to keep our students and families as safe as possible.
FOR YOUR SECURITY
This is what we will be doing to keep our dancers and attendees comfortable, happy and safe:
JCDA is upholding all backstage rules to keep our dancers as secure as possible. We will have parent volunteers at each Dressing Room exit to ensure no student will leave our secured space during the show without an approved volunteer/ their guardian.
PLEASE see the SHOWTIME TAB for specifics regarding dismissal. Each level will follow a different dismissal procedure, which can be seen on your recital's dropdown. Please follow this procedure clearly.
No student may leave recital early unless signed out by their parent/guardian at the check-in table. Please help us keep ALL students safe and accounted for by following these guidelines.
Several of our parent volunteers and most of our staff is CPR & First Aid certified, in the event of a medical emergency, both in the dressing rooms and in front-of-house.
In light of recent events, and in order to give us all some peace of mind and some additional safety during the event weekend, JCDA has invested in additional armed security to be present at our event to keep our students and our families safe.
FOR YOUR HEALTH
This is what we will be doing to keep our dancers and attendees comfortable, happy and safe:
Cardinal O'Hara is asking guests to adhere to social distancing when possible.
JCDA will provide several sanitation stations that include hand sanitizer. Bathrooms are steps away, and will be sanitized often by the Cardinal O'Hara staff.
Please, throw out your trash and collect all of your belongings before leaving the premises. This will help us keep the school clean, safe and comfortable for all attendees.
Masks are optional, but will be available for those who would like one in the lobby. We do ask if you are not feeling well or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 that you staying home; we will have the livestream available.
Remember to bring those positive vibes with you! We kindly ask all of our families for your patience as we work to ensure everyone has a pleasant and memorable experience! We do our best to provide signage, stations, and checkpoints to have everything laid out as clearly as possible for you and your family. Also, remember to love one another as you wait in line to drop off your dancer, or enter the auditorium. With a raked auditorium of 900 seats, there is not a bad seat in the house to watch your dancer shine! We have the best dance parents, and we are looking so forward to watching you all enjoy this special experience of being onstage TOGETHER!
