In those years that no trip to Italy is offered, the Department sponsors an early-summer trip to Greece.  Students, parents, and alumni may participate in this trip.  Our inaugural trip, in 2016, comprised a group of twenty-four; our second trip, held in 2019, saw the group swell to over forty, as did the trip that travelled in June, 2022.

In June 2025 participants took a grand tour of "Great Greece," or magna Graecia, the Latin term for those parts of Italy that were thoroughly colonized by Greeks from the seventh century BCE on.  The tour will begin in Cuma, at the Villa Vergiliana, where the Italy Trip stays, and then move to Sicily, with Catania and Palermo as our bases of operation.  For an idea of where we went and what we saw, go here.
