The Spouses of JB MDL Org Thrift Store Inc. is seeking spirited and community-minded individuals to join their 2025-2026 Executive Board. This is an exciting opportunity for Friendship members to get more involved with the inner workings of the popular thrift store and take on a leadership role. As a member of the Governing Board, you'll work closely with other board members to make key decisions about the thrift store's operations, finances, policies and more. It's a chance to use your skills to benefit an organization that donates 100% of its profits to support military families.
To be eligible, you must be a Spouses of JB MDL Org Thrift Store Friendship member in good standing. Prior to applying, be sure to thoroughly review the Constitution and By-Laws to understand the obligations and expectations of Governing Board members. All Executive, Committee Chair, and Advisor positions will be OPEN until the seat is filled.

EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS
Administer the operation of the organization, and preside over all functions.
Maintain a working knowledge of all So JBMDL O TS activities.
Provide support and guidance to each member of the Board.
You will be the voice of the organization, guide, listener, gap filler, connector, public speaker, and the one who answers many of the questions.
Time requirement: Approximately 20 hours per week.
Acts as the bookkeeper for So JBMDL O TS by receiving funds, keeping records, paying bills, writing checks, and receiving dues.
Must maintain a working knowledge of all So JBMDL O TS Budgets
Be able to answer financial questions for all Board Members
You will be the guardian of our "treasure", detail oriented, number lover and cruncher, and have an eye for business.
Time requirement: Approximately 5-10 hours per week
The Administrative Coordinator prepares and organizes the minutes of all the meetings and oversees our FRIENDSHIP. (membership)
Attends and records minutes for all Meetings.
Helps President to maintain records within the organization.
Promotes and maintains all FRIENDSHIP information.
You will act as our scribe! You will be a note taker, dispatcher of information, record keeper, good listener, and clearly communicate.
Time requirement: Approximately 2-5 hours per week
Assist the President in matters for which she/he requests help and be prepared to assume the duties of President if needed. Lead all philanthropic initiatives.
Performs the duties of the President in his/her absence; may succeed the presidency if at any time the President is unable to complete the full term of office
Oversee all welfare activities and supporting committees.
Serve as the key support, proactive, passionate about philanthropy, hands-on, attentive, and lead all philanthropic efforts.
Time requirement: Approximately 5-10 hours per week
Assist the President in matters for which she/he requests. Preside over all Community and Friendship events.
In the absence of the 1st vice president, performs the duties of the President in his/her absence and may succeed the presidency if at any time the President or 1st Vice President is unable to complete the full term of office
Juggle community events and committees like a pro.
Assumes the duties of the Events chair in the absence of one.
You will be our visionary of fun, the one who cares deeply for others, promoter, life of the party, detail oriented, leads well, and effectively communicates to your team and community.
