The Spouses of JBMDL Org Thrift Store demonstrates the power of community spirit and generosity through their establishment of the Food Pantry in 2019, dedicated to addressing the often overlooked issue of hunger within military families. 

In a nation that prides itself on supporting the troops, it is sobering to realize that even those who sacrifice to serve can struggle to put food on the table. But the Food Pantry provides a simple yet vital service - giving military members and their families free access to shelves stocked with nourishing non-perishable items and hygiene products, supplementing their needs and alleviating the stress of food insecurity. This judgment-free resource focuses solely on the wellbeing of service members, understanding that no one should have to worry about their next meal. 

Thanks to donations from compassionate individuals, as well as assistance from multiple organizations the Food Pantry has grown tremendously over the past few years and now supplements many active duty families. We must mention our Philly Vietnam Veterans who have truly stepped up not only with food donations , but also by volunteering their time and sharing information about the pantry. The veterans have helped to spread the word about the Food Pantry's services and encourage participation, helping connect more donors so that more military families in need will be able to access this vital resource. 

Active Duty Members and their families can stop by during business hours and discretely fill a bag with essentials at absolutely no cost.
