2025-2026 Scholarship Winners, Your Time to Shine is Here
Ready to take the next giant leap into your academic journey? If you're a high school senior with dreams as high as the sky, we've got something just for you! Our scholarship program is tailored to support the bright minds and brave hearts connected to the valorous service of the Armed Forces. Here's what you need to be eligible:
Local Roots: You're a graduating senior from a high school within 50 miles of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL). Plus, you've kept your grades up, with at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Military Family Pride: You're the legal dependent of a service member who:
Is on Active Duty and assigned to a JB MDL unit, living within 50 miles of the base when you apply, OR
Is a Reserve or National Guard member assigned to a JB MDL unit, also living within the 50-mile embrace of the base when you apply, OR
Is a retired military member who's chosen to plant their roots within 50 miles of JB MDL, OR
Is a deceased military member whose last home was within 50 miles of the base.
ID Check: You've got a current, valid military Identification Card to show you're the real deal.
Education Bound: You're planning to attend an accredited vocational-technical school, trade school, two-year college, four-year college, or university in the 2025-2026 academic year. Dream big, aim high!

For those connected to the Armed Forces seeking to further their education, we've outlined the eligibility criteria for the Continuing Education program. Whether you're a spouse or a dependent, here's what you need to know:
Connection to the Armed Forces: Applicants must be a legal dependent of an Armed Forces member who is either: on Active Duty, a Reserve member, or a National Guard member, all assigned to a Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) unit and residing within a 50-mile radius of JB MDL at the time of application submission. This also extends to retired military members or the dependents of a deceased military member residing within the same radius.
Military Identification: A current valid military Identification Card is a must-have to verify your association with the Armed Forces.
Educational Aspirations: The program is open to those planning to attend an accredited vocational-technical school, trade school, two-year college, four-year college, or university during the 2025-2026 academic year. For those already enrolled, a minimum cumulative college grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required.
Adherence to Program Limitations: Applicants must also satisfy all limitations, conditions, and restrictions as detailed in the program's "Limitations and Conditions" section.

Limitations & Conditions Restrictions - Applies to ALL Categories
The Spouses of JBMDL Organization offers scholarships to support the educational goals of qualified applicants. Our organization has the discretion to determine eligibility, modify award amounts, or withdraw awards based on our criteria and available resources.
Eligibility for our scholarship is limited to those who do not already have a full four-year tuition/room & board scholarship, a full grant, or an appointment to a military academy. Similarly, those with full tuition coverage through a Post 9-11 GI Bill disbursement from a family member are not eligible.
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited vocational-technical school, trade school, two-year college, four-year college, or university for the 2025-2026 academic year to qualify. The number of scholarships and the total funds available for distribution are directly linked to the success of our fundraising efforts.
Scholarship recipients will receive their awards at our annual award ceremony. In case of absence, arrangements can be made to send the scholarship to an alternate address provided by the recipient. Scholarships must be cashed within 60 days of the award ceremony.
Individuals may apply for and receive our scholarship for no more than two consecutive years. Dependent children are eligible to apply once during their senior year of high school and once more as a continuing education student.
Maintaining good community standing is a requirement for all scholarship recipients. Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of the scholarship. All application materials must be submitted by the deadline of March 2, 2025.
