Cosplay is loved around the world and its popularity grows more and more every year. Cosplay covers a wide range of Japanese popular culture, from Anime, Manga, and well-loved video games. The cosplay communities around the world are friendly, fun, and very inviting so if it's something you have wanted to do, Japan Fiesta is the perfect event for you. We are looking forward to seeing the lovers of cosplay attending Japan Fiesta.
The outdoor area is free, but an entry pass is required to enter indoors
Kirakira -dance club-
KiraKira is a Jpop and Kpop cover dance club at the University of Canterbury. They have been dancing together since they formed their club in 2021, bringing together their passion for dance and their love for Jpop and Kpop!
Their members come from all walks of life, trained in different dance styles, each with their own unique charms and talents. Like the word KiraKira means, we can't wait to show you their SPARKLING presence on stage!
Kowhai Fan Fest -Cosplay team-
Kōwhai Fan Fest is a Christchurch-based not-for-profit organization. Their main event, held annually, is a celebration of makers, artists, and performers, created by and for the local cosplay and cosplay-adjacent communities. Their aim to highlight and celebrate local creatives and businesses, with low barriers to entry and accessible events for all.
They are bringing cosplay-fun to Japan Fiesta - Join them for the cosplay parade, as well as a photo and cafe experience!
