Takumi was formed in 2007 with the aim of providing opportunities for young Japanese people living in the region to enjoy learning about Japanese culture. It is a club that is characterized by having fun practicing with all the members, regardless of age. As they are invited to various events, there are more opportunities for local people to learn about traditional Japanese instruments, and many people come to see their regular concerts. Shamisen is a three-stringed well-known among traditional Japanese musical instruments, a long-necked fretless Japanese lute.
Askr is 14 years old and started playing the shamisen at the age of nine, inspired by the animated movie called "KUBO". He performs at school cultural events and other events. Even though he is busy with school and sports, he practices hard.
His dream is to let many people know the goodness of shamisen. Check out his performance!
Ryo Takahashi introduces a Japanese exercise program tailored to include people from all walks of life even people who are not good at exercising. The program offers various types of exercises, including aerobic exercise, stretching, and body and brain training, utilizing teamwork. Ryo will also showcase simple aerobics to the beat of mainly Japanese anime songs at Japan Fiesta. Exercising with Ryo in a spacious outdoor area after a movie screening will make for a really enjoyable and memorable experience!
