Special Local Artist

Haruko Furukawa, an award-winning artist, earned her degree in Japanese Fine Arts from Kyoto Saga University of Arts in 1995.  In 2014 she was selected for the Parkin Drawing Prize in Wellington. In 2017 She participated in an international competition in USA. She was invited to “Art Battle ”competitions" in Australia, USA, and New Zealand. She won the 2020 street art competition. She is also involved in public art, street art, performance art, and art in other fields.

She will be demonstrating Japanese painting in the morning, and Sumi-e live painting will be performed alongside guitar improvisation from 1:50 to 2:20 on the 1st Floor.  (2階).
