Meet the Library Staff

About Mrs. Christine Pumilia, Library Media/Innovator (7:45-3:45)

If you can believe it, I have worked in the Janesville District since 1991, first as a Business Education teacher at Parker HS and also Edison MS. I then received my Master’s degree in Library Science and had the fun job of designing the library at Kennedy ES with architects. I started working at Craig in 2007. I have been both a Business Education teacher and a Library Media/Innovation Specialist at Craig. I enjoy helping teachers create meaningful, relevant, and engaging learning for students through the use of digital tools. In addition, I also love sharing my joy of reading and teaching research skills. I have MANY favorite Young Adult books. Some of the top favorites are Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles, The Kiss of Deception by Mary Pearson, and An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. On top of my professional passions, I also love to travel and explore the world with students as a school travel group leader. I enjoy researching the places we will visit before traveling to see them together, which leads me to feel like I'm still a student and constantly learning. Stop in the LMC to chat about technology, books, research, traveling, etc...

Mrs. Spaeth started working at Craig in 2018. She has been working in the library since 2019. She enjoys helping students problem solve any Chromebook issues they are having. She has a knack for keeping the library books in order on shelves and is a master at locating books for students and staff. She is a very friendly person. If you stop in to the library, you are sure to be laughing and enjoying your visit if you are lucky enough to chat with her. She adores music and will often have great music playing in the library. Stop in to visit the library soon to hear which song she is playing.
