We want to get your Chromebook working as quickly as possible. Before bringing your Chromebook in or calling for help, here are some tricks you can try. The very first thing you should always try is to restart your Chromebook.
Chromebooks power on when the lid is opened. If when opening the lid nothing happens try the following:
Hold the power button on the right side down for 15-30 seconds and then leave the Chromebook open. Sometimes it takes a minute or two for it to turn on, and it won’t if you close the lid. If this doesn’t work, try plugging it in and holding the power button again.
There can only be one bluetooth device connected to the Chromebook at a time. Check the bluetooth devices and remove anything that isn’t being used.
Restart the Chromebook. If this doesn’t work, the student can bring their Chromebook to the LMC.
Restart the Chromebook by holding down the power button for 15-30 seconds.
If there is an orange exclamation point in the top right corner of your web browser, click that. You may see things like "zoom disabled" or "zoom scheduler is disabled." Click on that and try to enable those functions. If this does not work, restart your Chromebook. Another suggestion is to go to ClassLink and click the Zoom app.
