Need to use the airport shuttle?  Add your itinerary here!  Flight Itinerary
We have contracted RoadRunner to be our airport shuttle provider.
The RoadRunner shuttle will run during peak arrival times on Wednesday and Thursday and all day Sunday for departures.
Wednesday anticipated times are afternoon and evening - approximately 1:30 - 11:30 pm.
Thursday anticipated times are morning and early afternoon - approximately 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
On Wednesday and Thursday, a couple of volunteers will be available for airport runs during off-peak times as needed.
Wednesday and Thursday, RoadRunner will be utilizing two 24-passenger shuttles.
Sunday, the shuttle will run from approximately 5:00 am - 5:00 pm.  The Sunday shuttle will be a coach bus.

How will you find the shuttle?
We will have a volunteer stationed at each baggage claim serving as an airport host, and a volunteer riding the shuttle.
Watch for the person carrying a Deaf Missions sign and they will help you find the shuttle and should know approximately when the shuttle might be back.

When and Where is registration/check-in?
Wednesday evening early check-in will be upstairs - in one of the breakout rooms or conference office - watch for signage!
Wednesday evening it will be open from 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm.
Thursday morning check-in will move down to our foyer/pre-function area by the Honors Ballroom.
Thursday, it will be open from 8:00 am to noon.
If you arrive afternoon - go the the information table in the same area.

Tell me about parking.
This is the parking situation as best we understand it:
Overnight Valet:

$38.00 per car.  It will be charged to your guest room and you will pay at the end of your day.  You can come and go as many times as you like daily with Valet Parking.

Self-Parking for OVERNIGHT stays:

$28.00 per day – Park in the Garage and bring your ticket to the front desk. They will give you a sticker and you use that to go in and out as often as you like.  It can be billed to your guest room.

Self-Parking for Daily Drive in guests (Not sleeping at hotel):

Park in the garage at 1601 Randol Mill Road – Arlington, TX 76011, and pull the ticket – Keep the ticket and on the way out, place the ticket in the machine and pay the rate based on the amount of time at the garage.  All payments must be made via credit card

Valet-Parking for Daily Drive in guests  (Not sleeping at the hotel):

Daily event parking is available for $18 per day with no in and out privileges.  (This may have specific in and out time restrains, but we have not been able to get a clear answer on this situation.)

Alternate parking:

There is some free parking in the area on NON-event days.  Any day there is a Ranger's game, those spaces become paid parking.
If you are driving but don't want your car with you for the conference, you can always contact a local church, ask permission to park in a corner of their lot, and Uber into the Arlington Entertainment district.

Do the Texas Rangers have any home games while we are there?
Yes!  They have a home game on April 5 at 7:05 pm, April 6 at 6:05 pm, and April 7 at 6:10 pm
With our hotel right across from their stadium, expect LOTS of people and traffic.

What is the dress for the Thursday evening premiere?
We want you to have fun dressing up without the pressure of a formal or semi-formal event.
Dress is:  Date night dressy • Nice party • Fun Dressy
(For Cast and Crew and those who have been invited to attend the private premiere on 4/3 - dress is semi-formal.)

How do we get to the AMC?
If you rode the airport shuttle, coach buses will be provided to take you to the AMC.
If you drove - please plan to drive to the AMC.
Carpooling is strongly encouraged.  While there is plenty of parking at the AMC, retrieving cars from valet at the hotel will be a process.  Please allow plenty of time and be patient with the process.
Your arrival window is large - 4:15 - 6:00 pm!
If you want to be there for the Red Carpet arrival and have a meet and greet time with some of the cast, plan to arrive by 5:00 pm!

Are some late registrants still on a waiting list for a seat to see the film JESUS at the AMC?
Yes - However, we think it may be possible that everyone on the waiting list will have a seat.
Here's how that may be possible.  All Cast and Crew and invited guests that are attending on 4/3 are giving up their seats on 4/4 so that as many conference attendees as possible will have a seat at the AMC.  Also our DeafBlind guests are having their own special movie experience at the Loews Hotel.  We are still checking and double-checking lists to see exactly how many people need seats at the AMC.  It's a process!  As Angie recently told a group of volunteers - What initially looks impossible on paper - with a little teamwork - God can make possible.

What is the overflow plan if there are not enough seats at the AMC?
Plan A is for overflow guests on the waiting list to remain at the Loews and have a special viewing there.
There is a Plan B and C also being considered.

What is the conference attire?
Most people dress casual - jeans are appropriate.
Conference centers are notoriously cold.  Keep that in mind.
Comfortable shoes are a must - it's a large place - you will get your steps in.

Does the hotel serve complimentary breakfast?
No, this hotel does not have complimentary breakfast.
We suggest bringing breakfast to keep in your room.  Each room is equipped with a refrigerator, but not a microwave.
There is a Starbucks right across the street.
On Sunday, Deaf Missions will provide a continental breakfast for you.

Tell me about restaurants in the area:
Google "restaurants near Globe Life Stadium" and you will come up with a long list!
There are three restaurants in the Loews and a Grab-and-Go shop.  Prices are reflective of a luxury hotel.
Across the street there are several eating options at Texas Live.  These prices would rival your average restaurant that is not fast food.
If you want to walk about a mile you can find fast food options.

Thursday, pop corn and pop will be provided and AMC concessions will be open if you want to purchase additional food.
We will have appetizers on the lawn at the after-party Thursday evening.
On Friday Deaf Missions will provide you a box lunch and on Saturday evening we will have dinner together.

Consider bringing light snacks with you.

Continuing Education Units for professional interpreters or others who need CEUs for professional organizations.
Please check your ticket and make sure you registered for CEUs.
At the conference, if you paid for CEUs, you will have a special code on your nametag that will give you access to CEU documention.  If you have not paid for CEUs, you will not receive any documentation.  If you did not pay for CEUs, but would like to, e-mail angie@jamathis.com for a payment link.
If a mistake or misunderstanding about CEUs occurs and you need to add them after you arrive, you will need to wait until Thursday morning.  It will be an extra process, but doable.

What if I still need to pay, can I pay onsite?
No - we need you to pay in advance.
The exception is our international guests without access to a credit card.

Do we have to attend everything?
No - that is completely up to you!
We have packed the schedule full of lots of good content.  You know if you need to sleep in, head to bed early, or need some one-on-one time with family for friends.  You make the choice best for you.

I want to attend 2 things at the same time - will sessions be recorded?
We have made the decision to not record sessions - that adds significant cost as well as requirements in regard to permissions and intellectual property and more.   But more than that, we feel live interaction is part of the DNA of this conference.  We know it's hard to choose - that's the quality we want to offer you!
