Because of the growing size of my ePortfolio, I have created a specific place that highlights my work and projects relating to my communication studies coursework. This page highlights my ability to (but is not limited to):
Employ Communication Theories, perspectives, principles, and concepts (study abroad, theory poster)
Engage in Communication inquiry (communication research methods)
Create messages appropriate to the audience, purpose, and context (recommendation report, ePortfolio Studio)
Critically analyze messages (media literacy strategic plan)
Utilize communication to embrace difference (study abroad)
Apply skills and knowledge needed to collaborate with others (recommendation report, communication research methods)
And much more. Explore my showcase below to see this in action. To read more about the Communication Studies B.A. at IU Indianapolis, click here.
During the fall of my fourth year of undergrad, I did a body of work across classes surrounding AI data centers and it's impact on our environment and the populations health as a result. In my communication studies capstone, I completed a panel with a group of classmates.
This project is a part of a series of projects relating to data center's impact and relation to public health, social science, environmental health, and health disparities. The panel hits on my ability to plan and execute community action.
In the Summer 2025 semester, I spent two weeks in Wroclaw, Poland as a study abroad experience. I had an incredible time being in a new city, getting to know people from both Wroclaw and my own group, and apply my experiences to our guiding theory, Coordinated Management of Meaning (CMM)!
This subpage will have a lot of content about my time there and the work I did as a result. Included is a synthesis experiences/text paper, along with a research paper about patient attitudes surrounding antibiotic resistance.
The ePortfolio Studio at IU Indy is apart of the Institute for Engaged Learning. We work with students and faculty to assist on their ePortfolios, along increasing awareness for ePortfolios and their benefits. I am involved in many aspects of this studio. This includes managing faculty and student requests for individual or class wide meetings, creating templates, overseeing grants, organizing student data, and much more!
This project was done in ENG-W231: Professional Writing Skills. Our community client is the Hoosier Herpetology Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education of its membership and the conservation of all reptiles and amphibians. Their issue they brought to us was increasing their membership.
Poster created as a final project, Social Information Processing as a communication theory.
