The central theme of this website is 'dysgraphia.' I selected this particular theme for two main reasons. First of all, as a former assistant lecturer at Zewail University for Science and Technology, I used to manually grade piles of paper-based exams. During the grading process, I greatly suffered from students' distorted handwriting. At that time, I was not aware that dysgraphia is a disability that causes students' handwriting to be unclear and illegible. Therefore, I used to blame students for not holding their pencils properly.
Second of all, I want to disseminate knowledge about the characteristics of this disability to teachers from all over the world, especially from developing countries, so that they are able to identify students with dysgraphia. In addition, I want to expand teachers' horizons of effective AT devices that can help students with dysgraphia produce legible texts. Finally, I want to provide parents with information about this disability, and how they can advocate for their children if diagnosed with dysgraphia.
