The ITE Sandbox Competition is a case competition hosted by ITE International, where students and professional teams develop solutions to a transportation or planning-related problem statement. The competition is made up of two categories: professional and student. The two best submissions per category are chosen to present at the ITE International Conference and to compete for the top spot in their respective categories. Using data, research, and best practices, teams from across the continent create a written report to solve a transportation problem often based around the host city of the ITE International Conference.

Creating a Sandbox Submission
ITE International reveals the problem statement for the competition in the late fall or early winter. The problem statement for the student category is different then that of the professional category, with it often focusing on a university of campus in the host city of the ITE International Conference.
Once the problem statement is revealed our team will spend the next few months developing our solutions, researching best practice to create maps and technical guidelines for our submission.
