U of M ITE Student Chapter

CITE Edmonton 2018

This year 6 student chapter members attended the CITE conference in Edmonton. From the sessions, to the student mixer, the traffic bowl, bike tours around Edmonton, and the annual street hockey game we learned a lot while having the opportunity to network with both students and professionals in the Transportation Engineering profession! Due to a couple of awards and our beloved traffic bowl our bags were a little heavier on the way home. We are very proud of the hard work our chapter put in over this past year and would like to congratulate all ten teams who competed in this year's traffic bowl. We are already looking forward to CITE Ottawa 2019.

    • Our Chapter President, Abby Scaletta was the recipient of the John Varden Memorial Transportation Scholarship.
    • Our traffic bowl team took back the winning title and is excited to compete in Minneapolis at the ITE International Annual Meeting. We're also very excited to be attending the SLS hosted by the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities before the conference.
    • Our Chapter was the recipient of the CITE Student Chapter of the year award! Great work team!
    • A huge thank you and a job well done to the organizing committee of the first ever Canadian ITE SLS (consisting of UofA and UofM student chapter members). The event took place the weekend before the CITE conference and was a huge hit! We hope the event continues in years to come!

ITE Escape Room Tournament - October 18th

We are excited to be working with the Manitoba Section to plan and organize the 2nd annual ITE Escape Room Tournament! Participants enjoyed the event last year so we have decided to host it again. We'll post more details on the event page as they become available so be sure to check back!
